LaserStrip
2000W Pulsed Fibre Laser

The LaserStrip 2000W is a 2000 watt pulsed fibre (MOPA) laser cleaning machine with a handheld cleaning gun, priced from £73,400 ex VAT. It removes rust, paint, coatings and graffiti with no chemicals or blast media, runs air-cooled, and is built to order in two to eight weeks with operational training at handover.

The 2000W is the most powerful machine in the LaserStrip range. Where the 1500W is fast, the 2000W is uncompromising: it delivers the highest removal rate we offer for the largest surfaces, thickest coatings and heaviest corrosion. It is specified where square-metres-per-hour is the single number that decides whether a large industrial or infrastructure tender is profitable. It is a pulsed fibre laser, not a continuous-wave one, so it removes coatings in short, high-energy pulses rather than a constant beam.

What the 2000W Is Built For

Every LaserStrip machine covers the seven applications on our services page. The 2000W is strongest on the work below. See all seven applications.

Who the 2000W is for

The 2000W is for the largest industrial and infrastructure operators, where square-metres-per-hour is the single number that decides a tender. It is the most powerful machine we supply, specified for the heaviest work at scale.

Typical 2000W jobs

Typical 2000W work is major marine, plant and infrastructure de-rusting and coating removal on the largest surfaces. It delivers the maximum removal rate in the range, stripping the thickest coatings and heaviest corrosion in a single confident pass.

01
Marine & Industrial
Hull, plant and heavy industrial de-rusting and coating removal at production speed.
02
Structural Steel Prep
De-rust and de-coat structural steel and ironwork on site, coating-ready in a single pass.
03
Rust & Paint Removal
Rust and paint off steel and iron, ready for coating. Deep pitting may still need a mechanical pass.
  • ✓The maximum removal rate and throughput we offer
  • ✓The largest structural, marine and plant surfaces
  • ✓Thickest coatings and heaviest mill scale
  • ✓Major infrastructure and industrial contracts
  • ✓Operators running the highest-volume large-area work

Six Power Levels, One Lineup

Every model shares the same pulsed fibre technology, training and UK support. The difference is removal speed and the scale of work it suits.

Optional add-on

Buying the machine
is only half the equation.

The other half is generating commercially viable work. LaserStrip Business Launch is an optional commercial launch package: your brand, website and Google Business Profile, a configured CRM with follow up automation (LaserStrip Launch OS), territory research, sales templates, outbound setup, and sales and CRM training alongside the machine handover.

It is bought separately from the machine, it is entirely optional, and it does not guarantee work, revenue or business success. Starting from scratch? Read our guide to how to start a laser cleaning business in the UK.

Before you choose

Laser, or the method you use now?

The 2000W only makes sense if it beats what you already do. Here is the honest comparison, including the jobs where it does not.

How laser cleaning compares with abrasive blasting, dry ice blasting and chemical stripping
Method How it behaves Laser instead When it still wins
Abrasive blasting
Read the comparison →
Erodes the surface itself, and can damage soft stone, thin metal and fine detail. Lower entry cost, but ongoing bills for media, containment and disposal. Non-contact, and removes only the contaminant. Runs on electricity, with no media to buy, contain or dispose of. Very large, rough, robust surfaces where there is no damage risk.
Dry ice blasting
Read the comparison →
Leaves no media on the floor, but the pellets cannot be stored: a delivery loses mass by the hour and is usually gone within a day or two. No consumable to reorder, store, or run out of mid-job. A tuned pulsed laser stops exactly at the clean layer. Work where CO2 supply is already on site and surface control is not critical.
Chemical stripping
Read the comparison →
Softens coatings with solvents over time, bringing fumes, protective controls and waste that has to be disposed of correctly. Lifts paint with light. No solvents, no soaking, no residue to rinse or neutralise. Small, intricate parts that fit fully inside a dip tank.

Applications

What the 2000W is used for

Beyond cleaning, this machine is specified for laser ablation and surface preparation: removing coatings, oxides and contamination as a preparation step before painting, coating, welding and bonding. These guides cover where it fits and where it does not.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the LaserStrip 2000W Pulsed Fibre Laser cost?+

The 2000W starts from £73,400, with the exact figure set by the pulse-energy configuration you choose (15 mJ, 50 mJ). See the pricing table above for every option. Prices are in GBP and exclude VAT, international freight, import charges, customs clearance and UK mainland delivery, which are quoted in real time at the point of purchase. Every machine includes professional configuration, hands-on training, full safety documentation and UK technical support.

Is the 2000W the right power for my work?+

The 2000W is the most powerful machine in the LaserStrip range. Where the 1500W is fast, the 2000W is uncompromising: it delivers the highest removal rate we offer for the largest surfaces, thickest coatings and heaviest corrosion. It is specified where square-metres-per-hour is the single number that decides whether a large industrial or infrastructure tender is profitable. It is a pulsed fibre laser, not a continuous-wave one, so it removes coatings in short, high-energy pulses rather than a constant beam. Not sure? Tell us the jobs you want to win and we will recommend the right model from the 200W to 2000W range. For most businesses selling laser cleaning that is the 500W.

What can I clean with the 2000W?+

A pulsed fibre laser is non-abrasive and chemical-free, so it lifts contaminants without touching the substrate underneath. The 2000W is suited to the maximum removal rate and throughput we offer, the largest structural, marine and plant surfaces, thickest coatings and heaviest mill scale and more. See the applications below, or all seven applications.

Do I need experience to operate it?+

No. Every purchase includes hands-on operational training covering laser safety, operation, quoting and commercial work, delivered at handover by people who configure and support these machines. It is initial operational training rather than an external qualification: responsibility for your own risk assessments, RAMS, site controls, competent operation, insurance and health and safety duties remains yours.

Where do you deliver?+

We deliver across the UK mainland; delivery is quoted for your postcode on the written quotation. Training and handover are included with delivery, so you do not need to travel to Leeds.

How do I buy the 2000W, and do I need to see it first?+

Buying is a direct process by phone and email: tell us the work, we confirm the 2000W is the right power, send a written quotation for your configuration and delivery address, you reserve it with a refundable deposit, and the balance is invoiced before dispatch. Business finance can spread the cost. No demonstration, sample test or visit to Leeds is needed; the machine arrives with training. Hire is for a defined project, not a step before buying.
